Shopping avec maman, ça faisait une éternité ! Et me voilà comblée avec ma nouvelle chemise de bucheronne (rouge I love you – le retour) et mes nouvelles boots qui viennent rejoindre toutes leurs copines dans mon placard… Les boots, ou les seules chaussures qui me vont à peu près correctement. Pas d’escarpins ouverts ou autres stilettos pour mes pieds fins qui glissent dedans inexorablement, alors on compense comme on peut !

Shopping with mom, it’s been ages ! And here i am, well satisfied with my lumberjack-looking shirt (red « i love you » – the return) and my new boots who just met all of their new friends in my wardrobe. Lets just say that boots are the only types of shoes who sort of look ok on me. No cute, smart, high-heeled open shoes for me or any other stiletto shoes for my thin skinny feet that inexorably slide in them. So, you do what you gotta do, right ?

En dehors de ma passion pour le shopping, j’ai un master en série télé… ô que tu es superficielle ma vie ! Bref, désespérant de revoir un jour les nouveaux épisodes de Gossip Girl et autre How I Met Your Mother (ils se foutraient pas un peu de notre gueule ???), j’en commence un tas d’autres. C’est comme ça que j’ai découvert Friday Night Lights (et que telle une ado en rut, je suis tombée inexorablement amoureuse de Tim Riggins), et plus dernièrement Better off Ted. Aaaaaaah ! 20 minutes de franche rigolade subversive et américaine, le top. Tout ça pour parler de la sulfureuse Portia de Rossi, qui a un rôle aux petits oignons et des tenues workin’ girl très sympas ! Loin de moi l’idée de rivaliser, mais ça m’a juste donné super envie de ressortir quelques trucs du placard. Allez, BON LUNDI HEIN !

… or my bow-y boring life…
Other than my passion for shopping, I have a master in TV series… how boring can a life get ! Anyway, whilst longing-so-much-i-am-almost-losing-hope for the new episodes of Gossip Girl and other How I Met Your Mother (what the hell is wrong with these tv program guys ???), I am getting into a whole lot of other ones. That’s how I discovered Friday Night Lights (and thus found myself – like a rutting teenager – inexorably in love with Tim Riggins), and more lately Better Off Ted. Aaaaah ! Twenty minutes of frank subversive and american laughter, just what I needed ! All of this was just a reason to mention the smokin’ hot Portia de Rossi, who has such a great role and really nice workin’ girl outfits ! Perish the thought of me trying to compete with her, but it just made me feel like taking some old rags out of the closet.

Alors là mes amis, non seulement vous avez droit au deuxième chemisier, mais aussi à LA veste. Cette dernière ayant été dessinée par ma maman dans sa jeunesse (ui ui, trop cool la mère !) et sur laquelle j’ai bavé tout au long de ma jeunesse. Je lui avait fait faire sa première sortie quand j’étais au collège.. pour le coup, je pense que j’étais un peu trop visionnaire ! Peu importe, la voici, la voilà, retroussée parce qu’un peu courte pour les manches. Quant au fameux chemisier, alors là, c’est collector de collector. Il appartenait à mon arrière grand-mère ! La dentelle est d’une finesse incroyable, je suis fan !

Dear friends, today, not only shall we unveil to you the second shirt, but you will also discover THE jacket. The latter was designed by my mom in her prime youth (yeah, she’s that cool !) and i have spent my youth begging for a chance to wear it. First time that happened was when i was in secondary school… I guess that was a little too visionary of a stance back then ! But who cares now, here it is, sleeves rolled up for being too short otherwise. As for the long awaited other shirt, well that one is of piece or collection. It belonged to my great grand-mother ! The lacework is incredibly fine, i’m a fan – big time !

Suite de notre petite ballade sur les quais, quelques minutes après que Laura se soit fait attaquée par une horde de cygnes (hahahhaa !), arborant avec fierté, THE chemisier. La semaine dernière, je suis allée chez mes parents, profitant de l’occaz pour effectuer une fouille dans l’armoire maternelle… Et là, je tombe sur le sac à merveille. Caché bien au fond, ô joie, ô bonheur incommensurable, un sac renfermant des chemisiers magnifiques ! En voici un premier, celui que ma maman portait lors de ses fiançailles, huhu ! J’adore.

Right after our little stroll on the banks, a few minutes after Laura got attacked by a horde of swans (hahahaha !), proudly displaying THE one and only Shirt. Last week, i went to my parents’ and took advantage of the occasion to nose about the mother’s wardrobe. That’s when i accidently dug out the bag of wonders. Hidden way at the back, Ô Joy, Ô unspeakable Bliss, a bag full of wonderful shirts ! Here’s one, the one my mom wore on the day of her engagement party. Oh ho !! I love it.
